I have always thought of developing a website devoted to terrorism related issues, and its impact on human life - but have never acted on that. Perhaps this will give me the fodder to get it done.....in the meantime, I would like to use this link to share information, stories, thoughts, wishes as they relate to our friends, families, acquaintances who have been impacted by the abonimable terrorist attack last Tuesday on our people and our way of life.

Ajay,

I hope and pray that you, and all of our other classmates, are with us today.  I just wanted to let all of you know that I am fine.  I was in my office in the 5th corridor of the Pentagon on Tuesday when the plane impacted.   Heroes only 12 doors away from us perished in this heinous act.   The rescue effort began immediately...civilians, military, policemen, firefighters, and others ..... pitching in to save our co-workers and citizens.

I am now working on the Secretary of Defense's team during this recovery effort.  The strength and resolve of our nation and its citizens is truly remarkable.  We will also never forget the support and sympathy of our friends given by our friends around the world.  God Bless all of you and God Bless our country.

Letters from the Bologna Center

Last night my daughter Maya drew a picture  mayawtc.gif (167714 bytes) of the WTC and we put it with 2 flags and a candle outside our house...Daniela was stuck in the city on Tuesday and we were unable to make contact for a while; Maya saw the event on TV and we were all very worried. Thankfully, Daniela and her mom made it home late at night. Many friends in our neighborhood were less fortunate.

Someone e-mailed me this unique way to show support:

One of the greatest challenges facing our country at this time is the strength of our dollar.

We can let this horrible event cripple our economy further, forcing us into a deep recession, or we can do something about it.

Here's an idea that is gaining ground. Monday morning, when the New York Stock Exchange reopens hopefully, I encourage every person receiving this message to buy any amount of stock in an American held company. It doesn't matter if you spend $25 or $25,000, just buy.

Can you imagine the look on the faces of the terrorists when they realize that their act resulted in economic growth for their sworn enemy?

Can you imagine the reaction from leaders in those countries who are, as you read this, debating to what degree they will support us in our fight against terrorism? This is a message we can send to the global community that will make a difference.

We can make a difference!

Regards

Ajay,

Thanks for keeping us all in touch. Particularly in these times, it is comforting to know that there are so many bonds that bind us across continents & religions.

I just got a message from Ann & Adrian Trevisan. Ann works about 5 blocks away from the WCT but is allright!

Hi Ajay,

.....

Luxembourg is in mourning with the US. I am very sad indeed.

People like Mark Piritano, who are in the middle of it and have such strong spirits, give me and all of us , I think, courage

Take care,

God bless all of you, God bless the United States

Claude
